Our Internal Polymer Shutters are stunning, timeless and easy to maintain. Properly cleaning and caring for your Polymer Shutters increases their longevity while keeping them looking fresh.
Below is a simple guide on how to care for your Polymer Shutters. If you have any concerns or enquiries on how to best clean and care for your window furnishings, give our friendly customer support team a call on 1800 133 278.
Removing dust from your Internal Polymer Shutters is the first step to ensuring they stay fresh. Gently flip the blades to face the same direction; dusting the entire surface with a dry microfibre cloth, duster or vacuum cleaner (soft furniture attachment). Repeat with the blades flipped in the opposite direction. Pay attention to the corners or hinges where dust can get trapped and build up over time.
Removing grease, dirt and dust build up with a damp, soft cloth. If necessary, you may use a gentle-mild detergent that is diluted for extra care.
Make sure your Internal Polymer Shutters are dried properly by wiping them down with a dry cloth after the dust has been removed. You can open the blades allowing air to help with drying your shutters.
Do not use any harsh/abrasive chemicals to clean your shutters to avoid damage. Gentle-mild detergents are suitable.
